About Ledger

X stock-pick accounts hide their losers. We don't.

A scoreboard for the timeline. Every public pick, on the record.

Why receipts matter

Open X on any given day and you'll see thousands of cashtag tweets — $NVDA breakouts, $TSLA bottoms, "loading here" calls on whatever printed green this week. Almost none of them come with the part of the story that actually matters: how did this picker's last hundred calls do?

Ledger is the missing scoreboard. We pull every public stock pick from a tracked X handle, classify the sentiment, run a simulated $1,000-per-call backtest, and rank the result. The picks that worked and the picks that didn't both end up on the same page.

Why X cashtags

The data is public, the format is consistent ($TICKER is a hard signal), and the platform's own API is the highest-fidelity source we have. We don't scrape — we use X's API the way it's meant to be used.

We don't track stocktwits, private Discord channels, paid signal services, or DMs. If the call isn't public, it isn't in scope. Survivorship bias has a hard floor when the source is the timeline itself.

Why $1,000 per call

It's the simplest, most defensible unit of analysis. Equal weight per call means the rank doesn't get hijacked by one massive winner or one massive whiff — the leaderboard reflects the average call's outcome, not the picker's marketing.

The simulation is gross of slippage, commissions, taxes, dividends, and borrow. Real-world execution would not match these numbers. That's the point: the comparison is between pickers, on a level surface, not between Ledger's simulation and your actual portfolio.

What Ledger is not

Ledger is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner. Nothing on the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Past performance — real or simulated — does not predict future results. Always consult a qualified professional before making any financial decision.

Who's behind it

Ledger is built by a small team obsessed with making the public stock-picking timeline accountable. Reach us on X @checktradesapp or by email at contact@opentrades.app.
